Depending on product applications and processes, Darisa's Soluble Silicate is available in various liquid density (Be) and molar ratio (SiO2 : M2O) for the following manufacturers and application.

Application

Detergent and Soap

Specific benefits formulated by the detergent formulator e.g. : Protection of metallic machine parts of dishwashing machine, neutralization of acidic soils, efficient emulsification and saponification, buffering capacity in the pH 9 - 12 range.

Pulp and Textile Bleaching

Hydrogen peroxide is extensively used for bleaching in the pulp, paper and textile industries. To stabilize the peroxide, soluble silicate is applied to prevent pre-oxygen release by binding transition such as iron, copper and manganese.

De-inking systems

Regarding to the ease handling in washing and flotation de-inking systems, based silicate is formulated to achieve high brightness in recycled fiber. This system is well known in the recycling process of newspaper and magazine.

Ceramic and Clay deflocculation

In clay manufacturers (brick, tile, sanitary ware, etc), the addition of sodium silicate deflocculates the clay-slip resulting in reduced water consumption. Similar condition also occurred in wet process cement industry where it is used to deflocculates slurries of chalk & clay.

Adhesives

Darisa Sodium Silicate is widely used in the production of paper, solid board and corrugated board products due to the exceptional high bonding strength.

Foundry Moulds and Cores

Commonly used as a binder material in setting into shape iron, steel and non-ferrous casing made using sand moulds, Darisa Sodium Silicate offers customers the option of gassing Carbon Dioxide or by reaction with an organic ester during their manufacturing process.

Welding Rods

Welding Rods consist of variety of mineral and metal powders bounded together with Sodium or Potassium Silicate before undergoing extrusion onto a supporting wire.
